Pastor Douglas Hobson
Pastor Hobson graduated from International Baptist College where he received his Degree in Pastoral Studies and Theology. Under the leadership of Pastor Moses Jenkins; he was ordained in 1993 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. In 1997 God moved Reverend Douglas Hobson and his family to Bethesda Community Baptist Church, at which he faithfully served for 6 years under the leadership of Pastor James N. Preston. Douglas Hobson served as the Youth Minister, Men’s Sunday School Teacher, Men’s Ministry Teacher, Associate Minister, and Bus Ministry Driver.
Called and commissioned by God to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through word and deed, Pastor Douglas Hobson meets the needs of the congregation through his ministering not only during Sunday church services but at any time he is called upon. With a kind and caring heart, he visits the sick and infirmed in care homes and hospitals, offers comforting words of love and wisdom to all others, and serves to inspire and motivate. In the words of Pastor Douglas Hobson, “I believe that worship is something that is very sacred, not only to the worshiper but to God. God has created each of us with a void that can only be filled by his Holy Spirit. Our form of worship may differ in some degree or another but remember we are worshiping the same true and living God. I believed that everyone should have a place where they can worship God in a way that feels right for them and in a way that pleases God.”
